Nothing obscure: what is kept, why, for how long. Most of it is nothing.

- One server, run by us, nothing shared with a platform.
This site
No cookies, no advertising, nothing that follows you. We count visits, never visitors.
This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from a third party: no analytics service, no fonts from elsewhere, no embedded players. The one thing it remembers is the theme you pick in the header, in your own browser’s storage, which never reaches us.
To learn which of our posts and links work, the site counts a few steps: the home page opened, the prices scrolled into view, the pricing page opened, the app opened, a checkout started, a payment made. Each is one added to a daily total for the link you arrived by (the words starting utm_ in its address, a code in it, or the site that sent you). Nothing that could tell you apart is sent or kept: no cookie, no address, no device, so two visits by you are two visits, and we could not join them up if we wanted to. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted at all.
The web server keeps no access log. Your address is held in memory for a few minutes to limit how fast one machine can call the server, and then forgotten.
If you sign up for the newsletter we keep your email address until you leave, which is one click in any message we send. If you write to us through the contact page we keep your message and address for as long as the conversation needs, then delete them.
The app
Your scores, your sites and your crews stay on your phone. The app reports nothing about how you use it.
The app runs in your browser and keeps its data there: your answers and scores, your settings, the sites and crews you enter. None of it is sent to us. The app makes two kinds of request: for updates to its content, and to renew a licence. Both carry a device token, never a name.
Every question has a thumbs-up and a thumbs-down beside it. If you press one, the question’s number, your verdict, whatever you typed and your device’s licence token are sent to us so we can fix it; nothing else is.
Buying a licence
Revolut takes the payment. We see your email address and the plan, never a card number.
Payment is taken by Revolut, on their pages, under their own privacy terms. They tell our server that a payment succeeded; your card details never reach us. We keep the email address you gave, so the key can be sent to it and re-sent if you lose it, the plan, the date, the amount and the link you arrived by, for as long as tax law requires records of a sale to be kept.
For each device you activate we keep what the terms list: a public key, a label, when it last checked in. Release a device from Settings and its seat is freed; its record stays so the device can be activated again, and is deleted when you ask.
Toolbox talk records
Names and signatures are drawn on the phone and stay on it, unless you send the sheet.
When a crew signs a talk, every name and every signature is stored on the phone that took them, and the PDF is built there too. Nothing about a talk, a site or a person is sent to us. Where a sheet goes after that is up to whoever holds the phone: the safety file, the office, an insurer.
Your rights
Ask and you get a copy, a correction or a deletion. The Data Protection Commission is there if we fail you.
Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, take a copy of it, or object to our keeping it. Email support@sparksireland.ie and we answer within a month. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland’s supervisory authority.
Anything unclear?
Ask, and we will fix the wording rather than defend it. Or email support@sparksireland.ie.
